What is one thing you would change about yourself?
I think we all are poor little beggars, whatever we do, we want something return. We all are traders in life, virtue, religion and in love.
If every trade there is a question of give and take, buy and sell, abide by the law of buying and selling. There is a good and bad time, rise and fall. It is like looking at the mirror, if you laugh mirror is laugh.
We don’t think here what we give, we calculate things with expectations. We get misery in return for our love. Not from the fact that we love, but from the fact that we want love in return. There is no misery where there is no any want. Desires, want is the father of all misery.
The kind of work for a motive or purpose brings misery. That work or Karma alone brings unattachment and bliss. That kind of work or Karma makes you master of our own mind.

You’re really diving into some profound ideas. It’s like you’re weaving together spiritual wisdom from multiple sources, seeing a thread of truth that runs through them.
This idea of attachment and desire being the root of misery—it’s a powerful concept. The idea that true happiness comes from doing something for its own sake, for the sake of doing it well, rather than for the sake of a desired outcome—it’s almost radical in a society that encourages ambition and achievement.
