Learn from mistakes

What could you do differently?

In the past, when mistakes happened, I would always blame someone or something and walk away from the situation. This is so easy to do, and it doesn’t make you answerable. Generally, I would always find some support whether from friends or parents, saying I wasn’t responsible for the situation.

And in this process, when any injustice is being perpetrated around us, we are unable to protest it in the same way. And we place all the responsibility on the system. Then, when something happens to us, we feel as if the entire system has sold out, everyone is in cahoots, and no one cares about justice.

Learning from mistakes involves acknowledging errors, analyzing what went wrong without blame, reframing them as growth opportunities, taking responsibility, and creating a plan to avoid repetition, which builds resilience, self-awareness, strong character and system answerable. It also include apologizing if needed in any case.
