Remaining questions

Today evening when I was returning home, the street-lights of my street were lightening a little dimly, I don’t know why it was not as lively as usual. The street was quite quiet today there was no crowd due to the intermittent drizzle.

I don’t know why today I didn’t have the same enthusiasm to return home after the pressures of the day’s work. Today even my parents have gone to a distant religious place. I am alone at home too, I did not feel like returning home early but what could I do, it was raining.

I made a cup of coffee and sat on a chair kept in the balcony. The rain had also become stronger along with the wind. After reviewing the work once, my mind was going towards spirituality.

Many questions arose in my mind like what did I lose and what did I gain? What is happening in my life? Was this what I had planned? Am I moving in the right direction? Am I satisfied with what I am doing?

Some answers came immediately, some questions bothered me. The coffee was about to finish and now the books were calling for the remaining questions.

College farewell

It’s sad to believe that one day you share last moment with someone you love and you won’t even know it. You won’t realise that day your last chance to say all the things you always wanted to say. You want to apologize to some people for your mistakes and you want to forgive some people.

My graduation was about to complete, I had to give a speech in the farewell function and had to thank the organisers and teaching staff on behalf of my batch mates. We had come here with so much hope and expectation, with so much energy. We learnt so much, became such a better person. Today I had to describe the entire journey.

I went on the stage and started the speech. After 5-7 minutes there were tears in my eyes, now I was not able to utter the words. I stopped for a while, drank water and started speaking again. But once again, tears started flowing from my eyes and this time I ended my speech at that moment. Because I knew that I would not be able to complete my speech at this moment.

I think my decision to give a speech at the farewell function was probably wrong because I had the illusion that I am strong enough to handle such a situation easily. 4 years were about to end and everyone was going to move forward with their careers. This college campus and this atmosphere will be left here. After this, there will be only a few special friends with whom we will keep meeting again.

“Though we may part ways, the memories we’ve made will always keep us connected.”

Freedom of expression

What do you enjoy most about writing?

Sometimes a lot of thoughts are brewing in our mind, but we do not find a suitable person even in our family or platform to express those thoughts so that they can be explained. Because people’s intellectual capacity is different, we cannot share our thoughts with everyone.

We can express any kind of thoughts with the power of our pen and through this platform of writing, even also if you are criticising someone. When we can freely exchange ideas and information, our knowledge improves, which benefits our communities and societies.

Freedom of expression(Article 19) has been recognised as a human right in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and international human rights law. Many countries have constitutional laws that protect freedom of speech. Terms such as free speech, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression are often used interchangeably in political discourse.

I enjoy my freedom of expression most through my writings. If we cannot freely exchange ideas and information, then we are all deprived of the potential solutions in any field and any part of the world.

Accepting uncomfortable truths

How do you plan your goals?

You are going to start any business thinking only about profit without deep understanding the technical challenges and struggle behind that, you will hardly be successful. If you want long term success in business, relationship and life you have to get better at accepting uncomfortable truths about that as fast as possible.

Sometimes high expectations can make you feel very disappointed. Whether it is expecting a perfect partner, sucessful career or satisfied life, reality rarely align with our idealised vision. Adjusting our expectations to a more realistic level can lead to a greater and better commitment.

Common people used to think successful people had some secret formulas, some hidden advantage that made it everything easier for them. But my experience and after reading so many books, I realized they smite something uncomfortable.

Democratic values

Democratic values encompass ideas like individual rights and freedoms, equality, the rule of law, and citizen participation. Right to vote is intrinsic to free and fair elections that is part of the basic structure of the Constitution.

Article 326 of the Constitution of India grants every citizen the right to vote, without any discrimination. It provides that every citizen, who is above 18 years of age shall be entitled to be registered as a voter. Election commission of India is independent body who conduct elections here.

Now a day opposition leader  has raised some question on Election commission related to SIR (Special Intensive Revision). They call it institutional theft because election commission openly colluding with government. India’s democracy depends on electoral rolls that are accurate, inclusive, and accessible.

As Winston Churchill once said, “At the bottom of all tributes paid to democracy is the little man, walking into a little booth, with a little pencil, making a little cross on a little bit of paper…” His words remain a timeless reminder that the health of any democracy ultimately rests on the sanctity of the ‘right to vote’.

Shop of love

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Indian politician, Congress leader, leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi said in his speech that the fight today is between two ideologies one which benefits a select few, while the “other is the voice of the people, farmers and labourers” and said that he is “opening a shop of love in the market of hate” through the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Bharat Jodo Yatra (‘Unite India March’) was a mass movement which was held by the Indian National Congress. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi orchestrated the movement by encouraging the party cadre and the public to walk from Kanyakumari at the southern tip of India to the northern union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a journey of 4,080 kilometres.

Through this march he conveyed a strong massage to the people India. The massage of love, brotherhood, peace, unity and integrity. He believes that we all have to do it because our religion, our country, is one of love and not of hate. I am impressed by this ideology and being his volenteer I also want to open a shop of love. Because there is no place of any kind of hatred in our society.

Unforgettable stranger

Some people are not a complete chapter in our life, they are just a line, which is most deep, meaningful and memorable. Its complicated to understand easily, Whether you understand it immediately or not but everything becomes clear with time.

A stranger who encountered unexpectedly their impression that leaves a lasting positive and significant impression. Just like a lost traveller finds a guide who shows him the right path, Then he vanishes at the same turn.

One such person came in my life and taught me a new perspective of living life and left. Which was full of creativity, enthusiasm and hope. Who can bring positive changes in your life with their thoughts, you can never forget them ever.

Sometimes in the end two strangers who knew everything about eachother. But now their paths were separated, as if from somewhere far away the sound of a deep silence is coming and just like someone has set to go out in search of a destination of endless road.

Expensive dinning

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

I live in the Kanpur city for a job, one day all my colleagues decided to go out somewhere for dinner. It was decided that we should go to one of the biggest hotel in the city. Leaving our budget-friendly tendencies aside, and we enter in the elegant world of wildly expensive dining.

That hotel had dining facility on five different floors, each floor had a setup with different themes, we had also booked one of them. The dazzling look of the hotel was simply magnificent, the moment we entered the hotel our mood instantly became cheerful.

Now coming to the food, first we ordered drinks and snacks, both were excellent. When we ordered the main course meal we had to wait a bit. Anyway we all take the dinner, the overall experience was quite amazing, there was an elite class feeling but taste was missing somewhere.

Factors like the quality of ingredients, the skill of the chef, the ambiance of the restaurant are excellent. If you are going only for the taste then it is not worth having. But the overall experience contribute to the value of an expensive meal.

Cultivating gratitude

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

When you feel grateful for what you have, what you do, what you have achieved, you find yourself happy. While it’s easy to feel a rush of joy after winning the lottery or receiving a big promotion at work, gratitude extends to the smaller blessings in life that are often overlooked or taken for granted.

Whatever your circumstances in life, every time it’s not possible to show gratitude. Many of us get caught up in a negativity bias, where we linger on bad news and unpleasant experiences, yet allow moments of positivity to fade into the background.

The idea of cultivating gratitude might sound cheesy, but research has shown that it can have very real benefits. You can use gratitude to uplift your mood, change the surroundings, find respite from negativity, foster stronger relationships, and even change the way you view yourself.
