Silence stretch longer

Now don’t make any futile efforts to get someone back in your life because you didn’t do what you said. You made promises and then forgot. You leave that time because maybe your expectations were not being fulfilled as you think.

The silence that stretched longer between words. And when you tried to force the feeling back, it stayed just out of reach, like chasing warmth in a room that’s already gone cold. Love, it turns out, doesn’t always leave loudly. Sometimes it just stops showing up.

It is not right to insult someone or speak nonsense in lieu of your expectations. Every human being has the right to live his life according to his own standards. Once you take a decision, then stick to it; once you say something, do it accordingly. Because this world doesn’t work the way you think it does. The world works according to its own rules.

Live with purpose

What are you most excited about for the future?

Live with purpose, gives a meaning to all of us, and challenge most of us. Everyone thinks about it a little differently. It offers lesson on things that apply to many areas of life like risk, confidence, freedom and happiness.

When I was growing up, I too had a world of dreams in which I wanted to do a lot, but when I started, I faced failure. I realized my inability, financial limitations, and the reality of people.

I was so disappointed that I started to find it more comfortable to give up the dream of business and do a job. But the job I got was not that good and I did not like it for many days.

After a lot of wandering around, I realised that business was the only option for me. This time I started in a more planned way because I had previous experience. I started a company which takes contracts from different government authorities.

Now this is not just limited to me only, the future of some people and their livelihood is linked to it. So I must to say this ‘dreams comes true’ one day, dreams give you a purpose in life.

Bigotry

What could you let go of, for the sake of harmony?

We all of us share universal values such as love, friendship, brotherhood, compassion, mutual respect, and other meritorious qualities, but the social intolerance on the rise, especially when we are all facing several global challenges such as environment, terrorism, health etc.

There is no place for bigotry in our society, we are mainly facing intolerance with the racial, cultures, ethnicities, religious beliefs, social traits and intolerance with minorities. We have to respect opinions, beliefs, languages or practices that differ from one’s own.

Swami Vivekanand said in his Neo-vedanta philosophy that he believed that God is present in every man, in every creature. Where there is life, there is god(yatra jiva tatra shiva) he infused this great principal in the heart of his favourite discipline and he said that service to man is service of God.

His noble ideal of the love and service of humanity as the love and service of God, can go a long way in fostering universal love and fraternity and a lasting peace that in the crying need of the day.

Authority on learning

On what subject(s) are you an authority?

There is no end to education. It is not that you select a subject, read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.

The more you study a subject, the less it seems that I still do not know anything. Continuous research is being done on different topics, due to which new discoveries keep coming out. It seems impossible to upadate about everything about a subject.

Pursuit of knowledge, inspiration acts as a guiding light, so what better way to fuel your learning journey. Because there is no any absolute stage where you claim authority on subject.

I think they all have authority on learning only because there is no limit to learning, people spend their lives in studying, understanding and teaching a subject. I just remember the basic principles of living life, that is enough for me throughout my life.

Road construction challenges

India is developing country and one of the fastest-growing economies. 100 percent road connectivity to the rural population with big cities through highway leads India towords Developed nation. Infrastructure plays a pivotal role in supporting this growth.

The government has committed to improving and expanding the road network under various initiatives like the Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme, is a nationwide program aimed at providing all-weather road connectivity to unconnected villages.

These projects often face several challenges some we figure out here. Roads often need to pass through densely populated areas or agricultural land, leading to disputes and delays in obtaining the necessary land.

Land acquisition delays the project for a long time. In order to maintain harmony amongst villagers we have to compromise due to which the road, instead of becoming a staircase, has to take many unnecessary turns.

Many trees have to be cut to build a new road. After the road is built, planting trees again becomes a challenge. Those who own the fields do not allow trees to be planted near the road. Even if they are planted somehow, it becomes difficult to protect them.

Contractors may struggle to meet the budget due to cost escalation in raw materials. The financing of such large projects is at risk if there is delays in fund allocation and billing process causes financial challenge.

IIT Professor

What makes a teacher great?

It has been a long time now but even today when I remember my school and college days, some teachers come to mind. Maybe they are the great teachers of my life. When teachers make lessons interesting and memorable, children become more engaged and eager to learn.

When a teacher’s communication skill is good, he naturally attracts the attention of the students in his own way. No matter how many children are there in the class, everyone feels that this teacher is talking to me only.

I remember my 9th class Physics teacher who had a very good grasp on that subject. Whatever topic he taught, he would first explain it by giving examples and would take punches from the students for tricks related to that topic.

So there is a interactive session in which all the students would go deep into the topic and think about it and got a chance to explain their point of view. Then when he would start teaching, everyone would already know the concept.

I was once very excited to attend a conference because a professor from India’s top technical institute (IIT) was going to teach a topic on calculus. He started the topic and went very deep while explaining things.

No doubt he is an extraordinary genius but maybe any student in the hall understood what he taught. Because he was lost in his own world of mathematics, he did not have any interaction with the students, nor was there clarity in his voice.

Painful injury

Have you ever had surgery? What for?

Once during a game I got hurt in such a way that the smallest finger in my hand got stuck in my hand. When I saw it I was scared and wondered what had happened. Then I patiently straightened that finger with my other hand so that it came back to its shape but the pain was too much and the finger was not moving at all.

But there was no bleeding so I could not tell anyone there what happened and hence it could not be treated immediately. After returning from play ground I was afraid that if I tell my family that I got hurt, then all sports and activities will stop from the next day.

So, I took some temporary medicine and with the help of some home remedies the pain got managed but the finger remained in the same shape as it was after the injury. That was one of most painful injury I ever had.

After a few days, I noticed that there was movement in that finger but its shape had become crooked. So finally I had to go to the doctor and he recommended surgery, through which this could be done and achieved its previous shape and size.

Traditional sweets

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

The festivals are associated with the preparation and sharing of special foods, specially at mid January on occasion of Makar Sankranti. Particularly sweets made this time with jaggery (unrefined sugar cane).

Peanut chikki– this time chikkis are very popular and they are specially made and enjoyed during winter season. This peanut chikki is an easy recipe with just two main ingredients peanut and jaggery.

Til ke laddu– A healthy, delicious, and nutty laddu prepared with white sesame seeds, jaggery, peanuts, and desiccated coconut. These sesame seeds ladoo make for a good warming sweet snack for the winters.

Murmurs laddo– a crunchy, crisp, light, delicious, easy ladoo recipe which gets ready in minutes made with puffed rice. For this recipe, you can also use puffed flattened rice (puffed poha) instead of puffed rice and Jaggery.

Unselfishness

How important is spirituality in your life?

The darkness that has arisen inside a human being due to materialism can be dispelled only by the light of spirituality. Spirituality makes a person internally empowered and you can cultivate good conduct , virtue, self-discipline, respect, dignity etc through it.

A spiritual person is full of kindness, honesty, empathy, and forgiveness. The God who is residing in every one will become manifest when a person is pure hearted. If there is dirt and dust on a mirror we can’t see our image. So ignorance and wickedness are the dirt and dust that are on the mirror of our heart.

Selfishness is the chief sin, thinking of ourselves first. I will eat first, I will have more money than others, I will possess everything, I will get to heaven before others etc is the thinking of selfish man.

The unselfish man says I will be last, I will even go to hell if by doing so I can help my brothers. The person who has more unselfishness is more spiritual and nearer to God. And if a man selfish even though he has visited all the temples, seen all the places of pilgrimage and painted himself like a leopard, he is still further off from God.
