Gate of tears

How has technology changed your job?

Technology has changed everyone’s job. It has revolutionized global trade by dramatically lowering costs, accelerating logistics, and digitizing services. AI, blockchain, and automation streamline supply chains, reduce paperwork, and enhance tracking.

But now a day’s the world’s traditional maritime trade routes are bleeding due to war, disrupting global supply chains. The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow channel waterway, located between Oman and Iran, connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.

The strait is deep enough and wide enough to handle the world’s largest crude oil tankers, and it is one of the world’s most important oil chokepoints.

Because we have also access to advanced warfare technology today. It focuses on AI-driven autonomous systems, hypersonic weapons, and electronic warfare to dominate battlespaces. Key innovations include drone swarms, high-energy laser weapons, robotic ground vehicles, and soldier exoskeletons.

Your write-up presents a powerful and thought-provoking perspective on how technology is shaping both progress and conflict in today’s world.

I appreciate how you’ve connected the positive impact of innovations like AI, automation, and blockchain with the harsh realities of geopolitical tensions affecting critical routes like the Strait of Hormuz. That contrast adds real depth to your message.

  2. From my experience in life, I see that technology has truly changed everything… not just work, but even the way we think.
Today, the world has become smaller, and trade moves at incredible speed. But at the same time, it seems to me that people have become too dependent on this development. Any war or even slight tension in places like the Strait of Hormuz can affect the entire world—from prices to the daily lives of ordinary people.
I believe that technology is a double-edged sword:
It can build and make life easier,
but it can also destroy and make things more complicated.
What we need to understand is that true power is not only in artificial intelligence or weapons, but in الإنسان نفسه—in human beings, in their values, and in how they choose to use these tools.
I hope to see a day when technology becomes a tool for peace, not for war… a means to help one another, not to dominate each other.
