What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?
One who would see God in every being, one whose heart would weep for the poor, for the weak, for the outcaste, for the downtrodden, for the one in this world, inside my country or in the world.
At the same time whose grand brilliant intellect would conceive of such noble thoughts as would harmonise all conflicting sects, not only in India but outside this country, and bring a marvellous harmony, the universal religion of head and heart into existence.
This thought of universal humanism was given by Swami Vivekananda. He says nothing can be more sublime than loving and serving mankind as the worship of God.

What a profound and inspiring vision of universal humanism. 🙏✨ Swami Vivekananda’s message reminds us that true spirituality is not confined to temples, scriptures, or rituals—it is expressed through compassion, service, and the ability to see the divine in every human being.
I especially appreciate the beautiful union of “head and heart” in this thought. Intellect without compassion can become cold, while compassion without wisdom may lack direction. The harmony of both can help us rise above divisions of caste, creed, nationality, and social status.

Answering the faith-in-people prompt with Vivekananda’s vision of a ‘religion of head and heart’ is a lovely pivot — most of us reach for a personal anecdote, and you went to the principle underneath them all. Traveling as a family, what has struck us most is how that instinct to help a stranger turns up in every country we visit, whatever the creed. Serving people as worship seems to translate everywhere.
