Protest against You

What’s a moment when you realized you were officially an adult?

Someday, when I sit in protest against you,
I will demand the account of my lost sleep,
of my stolen peace and calm.
Every single moment spent in your thoughts,
I will ask for the reckoning of years of waiting.

The rebellion will be fierce, yet unseen by your eyes.
There will be no slogans, no noise,
only the rage accumulated in these eyes for years.
Carrying countless complaints, I will resist,
scratching the wounds of my heart,
and then fall silent once again.

    Your restless heart has spoken.
    But remember—another heart listens.

Do not let feelings hover unanchored; desire must meet reality.

Why speed with thorns of protest
in place of flowers of emotions?

Let diamond test the gold of truth.
    Waiting is life’s quiet discipline.

Believe in waiting—it holds calm and brings the answer hoped for.

This is a deeply emotional and haunting portrayal of love, longing, waiting, and silent rebellion. ❤️

What makes the poem especially powerful is that the protest is not loud or dramatic—it happens quietly, within the heart. There are no slogans, no crowds, and no noise; only years of accumulated pain reflected in the eyes.

“There will be no slogans, no noise,
only the rage accumulated in these eyes for years.”

These lines beautifully capture the intensity of emotions that remain unspoken for too long. Sometimes, silence can express what words are simply incapable of saying.

  3. Beautifully penned. Sometimes the deepest protests need no words ,just silence, wounded eyes, and memories that refuse to fade.
