Alone doing nothing

How do you make time for self-care?

Amidst all my responsibilities and no matter how intense the work pressure whether physical or mental once I have dealt with it all, I cherish solitude. It is a time when I do absolutely nothing, simply being alone in the quiet of my closed room.

It is the moment when the self breathes without masks, when silence becomes a companion instead of a void.

In that quiet room, you allow yourself to dissolve the weight of responsibilities, to let silence stitch together the frayed edges of your mind.

It’s almost like tending a hidden garden: you don’t plant new seeds every time, but you let the soil rest, so it remains fertile for tomorrow’s growth.

Beautifully expressed. 🌿 I especially love the image of letting the soil rest so it remains fertile for tomorrow’s growth. Solitude is not always loneliness; sometimes it is simply giving the mind and heart enough space to breathe, recover, and listen to themselves.
