Blind date

If you had a free round-trip ticket to anywhere, where would you go?

What is better than that!!

Finland’s official tourism board, Visit Finland, is offering 16 international singles a completely free, all-expenses-paid trip to the country in February 2027. The campaign, called the “Finnish Dinner Date,” is designed to showcase the nation’s unique culinary scene while giving single travelers a chance to find romance during group blind dates with local Finns.

The idea is inspired by a viral Finnish grocery store trend called sinkkukori (“single basket”), where shoppers carry pink shopping baskets to signal they are open to dating.

Now that’s an interesting way to mix travel, food, and romance! 😄❤️ Finland seems to have found a creative way to bring strangers together through shared experiences. After all, sometimes the best journeys are not just about discovering new places but also about the people we meet along the way. Who knows? A simple dinner date might turn into a beautiful lifelong story!
